I have to leave the apartment earlier than planned, what should I do?
Move-in with the landlord: If you want to leave the apartment before the end of your lease, you can give your notice directly in your tenant space.
The housing is your main residence: you will need to sign the notice letter and send it to us by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt (LRAR) from a post office or via registered mail online from the La Poste website.
Otherwise you can sign your notice electronically.
Please note that, in accordance with French law, a notice sent by email is not valid.
Move-in with Home Attitude: In this case, the customer relationship will be informed of your intention to leave the apartment as soon as you have filed your notice in your tenant space. If the housing is not your main residence, you can sign your notice electronically; otherwise, it must be sent by registered mail from La Poste's website. This will allow organizing the move-out inspection, which remains mandatory, and updating your deadlines.
The notice period for a furnished rental is one month unless expressly agreed by the apartment owner. You remain responsible for your rent until the end of your notice period and no refund can be made.
