Who Returns My Security Deposit?
Only the person conducting the move-in inspection (the landlord or Home Attitude) is authorized to hold the security deposit and will be able to return it to you.
In some cases, the landlord of the apartment carries out the move-in inspection, and Home Attitude immediately transfers your security deposit to them. Therefore, remember to ask the landlord or their legal representative to carry out a move-in and move-out inspection to be signed in duplicate. These are the two documents that will allow you to recover your security deposit at the end of your stay.
When the move-in inspection is conducted by Home Attitude, we hold your security deposit and can return it to you at the end of the rental, after comparing the move-in and move-out reports, provided that no damage has been noted and with the landlord's agreement.
